How to make a coupon when taking a full-time job and family

How to Make a coupon

When you first learn coupons, you may feel overwhelmed. How can I find time to learn?  Is it worth the time and effort? Doing a full-time job can add more doubt and extra stress.

Once you have the tools and knowledge of how to make a coupon, the time it takes to put in a coupon is worth the effort. You’ll be able to run in and out of a grocery store at any time with a grocery filling cart, saving 50% or more!

You may have a pantry filled with stored food and products. You will never pay out of pocket for toothpaste, floss, spices, shampoo, soap, and much more! Coupons will change the way you shop!

Working full time will give you some advantages but also some disadvantages, but there are ways to get around them. You may have to work a little harder but isn’t it worth saving your family 200- $ 400 per month or more?

Not everyone is an extreme coupon and no one has 40 hours a week just to make a coupon. I am going to show you some shortcuts to save time and money.

Hunting those pesky coupons

When you’re not looking for coupons you don’t really see them. They are everywhere when you look for coupons! Some are hidden, some are open and some are in places you know. Where are you asking? It’s easy!

Every Sunday, except weekends, they will insert coupons into your local city paper. The general rule is a coupon per person in your home.  I get a total of 4 for each insert, giving me 4 of the same coupon. You want lots of the same coupons because you’re going to start building a stockpile.

Cut and organize

How to cut and organize your coupons – It’s not as difficult as you might think when you have a pile of coupon flyers. I organize my flyers into Redplum, Smart Source, and P&G piles. I then took out each leaf and began to lay them like piles on the table.

Once I tear everything down, throw it away, and organize then I start cutting my coupons. I will not cut every coupon. I cut into small piles, usually 4 leaves, and all at the same time. This strategy saves me time. Once the coupon is cut. I put the piles on my kitchen table according to my coupon book.

Change the way you shop

Now that you’ve cut your coupons and stored them safely in your binder, you’re ready to start shopping. First and foremost you need to be open-minded to try new products. Coupons come out all the time for consumers to try new products. Sometimes you get great deals and find the products you want. Other times the product is not eligible. What products you want to buy depends on you and your family.

I currently have 2-3 laundry soaps that I bought. I like the tide, all and profit. If Whiskey had a great coupon, I’d be more than happy to buy Whiskey at a lower selling price than the tide or profit that week. This applies to all products you purchase. If you or a family member only chooses a particular brand, make sure that there are really stocks on that product when that coupon comes out.

Sometimes you won’t be able to find those coupons. Usually, if I don’t have that coupon, I won’t buy it. Don’t worry, that item will be sold again. The more you shop each week and build your stockpile, the less you have to buy later. You will see your gross bill decrease within a few months of the coupon. Once you start your coupon journey you will find ways to suit your needs and before you know it you have a couponing pro!
