Announcements for Tuesday, May 25:

Onslow County has received new positive cases of COVID-19 as of May 24. Positive cases now total 17,495 with 147 deaths and 17,192 cleared. Onslow County is at 7.0% positive, while the state is at .7% positive.

COVID-19 vaccinations in Onslow and Carteret counties can now be accessed online, and appointments can also be made online. The myspot.nc.gov website searches local providers by zip code and can filter by vaccine brand preference. To schedule appointment for the COVID-19 Vaccine, Onslow Citizens Phone Bank is still be available weekdays to help at 910-989-5027.

Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune COVID-19 vaccine appointments for first and second doses may be scheduled online: https://informatics-stage.health.mil/lejeuneCOVIDApp/ or by calling the NMCCL Appointment Line at 910- 450-HELP (4357). NMCCL is now vaccinating eligible beneficiaries ages 12 and older.

State-contracted COVID-19 drive through testing will be held seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kmart parking lot on Piney Green Road.

Drive Thru Flu Clinic (Vets only) are being held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday – Friday at the Jacksonville VA Clinic, 4006 Henderson Drive.

Blood drives will be held on May 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center, 100 Recreation Lane. May 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Liberty Church, 110 Branchwood Drive, Jacksonville. June 2 from 1 to 5 p.m. Onslow County Public Library, 58 Doris Avenue, Jacksonville. Appointments encouraged.
